Special Assembly on World Book Day

The morning of Monday, 23rd April, started on the positive note of encouraging reading habits in students. On the occasion of World Book Day, a special assembly was organized wherein the benefits of reading habit was reiterated. Through posters and slogans students could understand the ways in which reading could be included in their daily routines. Through a host of questions in the quiz session the knowledge of popular literature and their authors was tested. A story telling session was also organized. World Book Day is a yearly event on 23rd April organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), to promote reading, publishing and copyright. In the world dominated by technology and gadgets, this assembly was indeed very important to bring back the good habits of reading and attaining knowledge.
