    -Mahatma Gandhi

As the world is tormented in the names of religion, ethnicity, caste, colour and creed, it is imperative that schools teach virtues of love, peace and brotherhood to students, who are future torchbearers of the world. The person who symbolizes these virtues is Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation. He not only taught the world the virtues of non violence but also taught them to love unconditionally. Meenakshi World School organized a special assembly to commemorate the 148th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Students spoke about Mahatma Gandhi and the journey of his life from a young honest boy to the great visionary of India who not only crafted India’s independence but was also instrumental in transforming millions of lives across the world. Students were also shown a documentary to help them realize the importance of non violence in today’s times. On the same day, many students got awards and certificates for participating and winning in different Inter School and Intra School Competitions.
