One of the greatest unifying elements binding the people of India in bonds of nationality is undoubtedly cricket. A cricket match being played by the Indian "Men in Blue" can make Indians crazy. How can then the budding cricketers of Meenakshi World School stay behind?? The spirit of sportsmanship and craze for the game came alive on Friday, 13th October as the clans clashed against each other in the Inter Clan Cricket Competition. Team 1 comprised of players from clans Thames and Mississippi while team 2 had players from Clans Amazon and Ganges. Team 2 won the toss and elected to bat first. In their allowed 8 overs the players made 58 runs with Suraj Raghav hitting some fantastic sixes. Team 1 had to fight till the last ball to win the match by 9 wickets. Abhay Jain was declared the Man of the Match. The cricket match gave everyone an opportunity to enjoy the game, cheer for the fantastic sixes, wickets taken and runs saved.
