The lights were gleaming spreading luminescence around, the picturesque campus was adorned, and the sound was reverberating at Meenakshi Public School and Meenakshi World School, Sector 10- A Gurugram on 17 October 2018 wherein the Dandiya Evening was a highlight of the Navratri Festival. The Chairman, Mr Anil Hada, Ms Poonam Hada, Vice Chairman, Mr Manish Hada, Ms Puja Hada and Senior Coordinator, Ms Praveen Malhotra graced the occasion with their presence.
Dancing with the ecstasy innate to the essence of dandiya, the cultural event emanated rays of euphoria and zeal. Amidst the enthusiasm, was a clear tete-a-tete on aspects of exchanging the idea of steps the feet would take. With bits of learning making the people amplify their assimilated zeal, the event turned into a new way of absolute aggregation.
Young children and mentors all decked up in their colourful, traditional best, rocked the evening. Ms Vipula Saxena , Director-cum-Principal, Meenakshi Public School and the team of enthusiastic teachers made sure that everyone let their hair down for a while, enjoying the flavour of the festival. The pleasant Wednesday evening brimmed with nostalgia as the alumni mingled to relive cherished school memories.
The festivities lasted for almost four hours and entire school community including students, parents and staff were busy showcasing their rhythmical steps, given the fact that there was a lot of foot tapping music, live DJ and mouth watering snacks.
Apart from being a celebration of traditional splendour, the occasion also strengthened the bond of love among the members of the school community.
