National Sports Day
Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision.

India celebrates National Sports day on 29th August every year. It is celebrated in the memory of Hockey legend Dhyan Chand’s birth Anniversary who made India proud of his extraordinary sporting skills. He was the greatest hockey player who won gold medals for India in the years 1928, 1932 and 1936.
To mark the occasion, students of Meenakshi World School celebrated the day by participating very enthusiastically in various sports events. Although 29 August is observed as National Sports Day in memory of the Hockey player, Indian sports-persons have attained glory in almost all kinds of sports at the international level. Indians have put the nation on the global map amazing performances in Cricket, Tennis, Badminton, Boxing and many more.
