1st November is commemorated as Haryana Day. On this day in 1966 the state of Haryana was carved out of the former state of East Punjab on the linguistic basis. Today, Haryana stands as one of the most developed regions of South Asia and has registered commendable growth in agricultural, industrial and educational sectors. In a special assembly conducted on 31st October, students were briefed about their home state. The students were made aware about the development index of their state and were sensitized about the areas which need attention and care.
